The Angus breed is known for its exceptional quality beef. Angus cattle provide premium meat in good quantities that is naturally tender and particularly tasty. Angus meat is popular worldwide due to its refined taste and structure. Due to the freedom of movement and the grass that the cattle eat, the meat gets a beautiful deep red colour. The grain lining makes the meat extra tender.
The Angus breed originally comes from Scotland, namely the county of Angus. The cattle grow well in areas where a wide variety of herbs and grasses grow, such as on the ranches in Uruguay, but they also have the ability to thrive on poor soils.
Fun fact: The Angus cattle are polled. Most Angus cattle are black: Black Angus, although there are also red cattle: Red Angus.
